RDTS is seeking a Program Assistant to support the Foreign Service Board of Examiners office with the U.S. Dept of State in Washington, D.C. Duties include, but not limited to:
- Responsible for scheduling and rescheduling FS candidates for oral assessments (OA) process, to include providing guidance to candidates on assessment rules and regulations; guidance to candidates and Assessors on scheduling; and preparation of test materials.
- Input medical, security and other information related to employment in REETA software for FS Specialist applicants, including Medical Specialist applicants.
- Compile and prepare assessment materials and submit to applicants.
- Manage the oral assessment process both virtual and in-person for Foreign Service Specialist applicants to include providing guidance to candidates on the assessment rules and regulations.
- Interact with Specialist applicants to administer online and case management exercises.
- Initiate, cancel, and release security applications using the Electronic Questionnaires for Investigation Processing (eQIP). Troubleshoot application errors with applicants for Diplomatic Security.
- Prepare successful Specialist applicant files to be forward to the Registrar’s Office.
- Archive unsuccessful applicant files into REETA in accordance with office standard operating procedures.
- Input medical and security information for Generalist candidates related to employment in the REETA Liaise with DS representatives for processing of candidates who pass the oral assessment.
- Brief Lead Program Assistant on the status of daily work assignments.
- Assist with FS Generalist and other FS Specialist candidate assessments as needed.
- Assist Assessors with special projects as needed.
- Travel no more than twice a year to cities within the U.S. for periods ranging from two weeks to up to one month at a time in support of assessments conducted outside of Washington, DC.
- Telework from home when the US government is closed due to inclement weather or other emergency situations.
- Serve as receptionist at front desk during assessments.
- Assist with training of incoming (new) support staff.
- Cross-train in Office of Evaluation functions to assist with minimum qualifications reviews as needed Perform other ancillary duties as needed.
