Harbor is a trusted guide and expert partner of the world’s leading law firms. We help our clients get the most from their critical business applications and the data these applications hold. We also have long-standing partnerships with Thomson Reuters Elite, Intapp and iManage. We work alongside them to develop products and implement systems that give our clients the maximum value, opportunity, and advantage. Our sole focus is on the legal sector and the specific technologies that law firms depend on. As a leading global consultancy, we deliver projects and services to the top 100 law firms both in the Australia and internationally. We have operations in the UK, US, Europe and Australia. We are experiencing rapid growth so are looking for new talent in several areas of our business. This is an ideal job if you’re keen to develop your consulting and business analysis skills and further progress in your career. Enthusiasm, interest, and drive are as important to us as any relevant experience you have.
We’ll give you full training and the opportunity to work in a stimulating and supportive working environment. The role will be based in Melbourne and initially will work remotely or from a shared office as required. There is an expectation that as the business grows and we setup a Melbourne office they would be in the office at least 3 days a week and assist in running this office/setting an example.

- Provides thought leadership on appropriateness of tools and process to project goals;

- Plans and manages project activity to maximise commercial return, ensuring a focus on minimising lost and non-billable time.
Is this you?:
Rather than a definite Harbor ‘type’, we’re looking for someone who is a winning blend of all the talents. So, we’re never overly prescriptive in what we ask for. While it would be great if you had already worked in or alongside a law firm’s risk and compliance or business systems teams working as a business analyst, we’re really looking for a good mix of aptitude and attitude. For this role, that means recent project experience and hands on systems experience across business software and IT systems allied with problem-solving skills and a logical approach to challenges together with determination and an eagerness to learn.
Essential Criteria:
- Knowledge of the legal industry with proven experience in a consulting/business analysis role working in or for law firms;
- Knowledge of business software and IT systems;
- Excellent organisational skills and analytical skills with an attention to detail;
- A good listener with the ability to communicate effectively with people of diverse disciplines and to all levels with a client’s organisation;
