This is a unique opportunity to work on a high-impact project that supports the core functions of our organization, ensuring the system's performance, reliability, and scalability are optimized to meet current and future needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support efforts to redesign and update the architecture of the mission-critical system using AWS services and best practices.
- Develop and implement strategies for migrating data and documents from the legacy application to the modernized AWS-based application.
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS to support the modernized system.
- Ensure infrastructure is scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and integrate new features and enhancements into the system.
- Ensure seamless integration with existing systems and third-party services.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of the system to ensure high availability and responsiveness.
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Implement security best practices to protect data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
- Stay up to date with the latest AWS technologies and industry trends to continually improve system capabilities.
- Advocate for and implement DevOps practices to streamline development and deployment processes.
- Create comprehensive documentation for system architecture, processes, and procedures.
- Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on the new system functionalities and infrastructure.
- Work closely with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to all stakeholders.
Required Skills &Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related field), or substitute six years of equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of DMS (Data Migration System)
- Able to troubleshoot DMS Issue, review cloud watch logs, review RDS and DMS alarm and coordinate necessary actions, code Stored functions, ad-hoc queries and tune-up functions/code in Postgres database
- Expertise in Postgres Database
- Expertise in Code CloudFormation template for DMS, and Alarms
- Experienced with Oracle WebLogic, Oracle Fusion, Middleware, Oracle Database and SQL Server
- Experienced with Database Exports and Imports, Database Archiving Skills, Provisioning Databases and SQL Tuning
- Experienced with PL/SQL Development: Experience writing, modifying stored procedures and SQL functions
- Ability to quickly diagnose and troubleshoot issues with customer equipment
- Must be able to work a shift between 7:00 am - 5:00 pm M-F Eastern Time
- Must be able to occasionally work outside of core hours for systems upgrades or in response to a system outage
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Developing, implementing, and managing CI/CD Pipeline.
- Experience developing customer-facing applications.
- Experience with Release Management
- Experience with UI/UX
- Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Previous federal government project

- The salary for this position is $60,000 - $110,000 annually
