Additionally we help brands and licensors sell online both through company branded and marketplace websites.This role will be responsible for supporting the HR department in its administrative duties across a variety of functions including, but not limited to, payroll and benefits administration, onboarding and offboarding, time and attendance recording, and employee engagement initiatives. UGP is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to add to the HR team. The HR Coordinator will be a member of the HR team within the Operations vertical, supporting the Recruiting Manager and Payroll and Benefits Manager, and reporting to the Recruiting and Payroll/Benefits Managers.

Underground Printing HQ at 1476 Seaver Way in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

work schedule, working the core business hours of Monday through Friday 9a to 5p, with responsibility for coordinating with team members in handling relevant urgent action items as they arise, even during non-work hours. Possible future path for career advancement: Recruiting Manager or Payroll and Benefits Manager.Specific responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Responsible for supporting general HR processes by efficiently handling administrative tasks, maintaining accurate employee records, and assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations to ensure smooth HR operations.
- Recruiting - Responsible for handling onsite interview coordination by preparing and printing necessary materials, greeting and assisting candidates upon arrival, and ensuring a seamless interview process.
- Recruiting - Responsible for completing reference checks and background screenings as needed.
- Compliance and Reporting - Responsible for compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and HR best practices.
- Compliance and Reporting - Responsible for on time completion of company required reporting, including but not limited to HR scorecard, labor reporting, time and attendance reporting.
- Data Management - Maintain accurate and confidential employee records within the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) to facilitate efficient data management and reporting.
- Employee Communication - Provide support for employees on general inquiries and questions across the organization.
- Employee Engagement & Appreciation - Assist with coordination or support employee engagement activities, including project management across departments, communication with outside vendors, and execution of events and activities, examples such as flu shot, employee appreciation, swag, etc.
- Onboarding - Responsible for ensuring all employee documentation is completed on time and accurately, and supporting pre-hire candidates prior to start date.
- Onboarding - Responsible for ensuring all onboarding checklists and employee data in HRIS are completed on time and accurately, with the appropriate members of management communicated to when a candidate accepts an offer.
- Onboarding - Responsible for conducting New Hire Orientations in accordance with the company’s onboarding process
- Offboarding - Responsible for ensuring all offboarding checklists are completed on time and accurately, with the appropriate members of management communicated to when an employee communicates that they are leaving the organization.
- Attendance Administration - Responsible for managing the UGP Time & Attendance policy, including monitoring and updating requested time off and call-ins
- Attendance Administration - Responsible to administer disciplinary actions in accordance with UGP Time & Attendance policy
- Business Support - Provide support and resources to production or other business needs company wide, ensuring the company’s goals and objectives are met efficiently and effectively.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not required)
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Gmail
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in HRIS
- Work experience in HR is a plus but not required.
- Understanding of HRIS systems, or experience with Paylocity
