The Retail Strategist role will be responsible for creating compelling product assets by developing engaging copy, pricing details, and artwork for use on EMS and webstores. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with Sales Managers, art departments, and retail teams to provide printable artwork files, ensuring seamless product production. Establishing the framework for EMS and web stores in collaboration with Sales Managers is part of your duties, ensuring optimal functionality and a user-friendly experience.
Brand compliance is paramount, and you will collaborate with licensing to ensure strict adherence to brand guidelines across EMS and webstores.The Retail Strategist will be a member of the Product Merchandising Team within the Sales Vertical, reporting to the

work schedule, with responsibility for coordinating with direct manager and/or team members in handling relevant urgent action items as they arise, even during non-work hours. Possible future path for career advancement: Product & Merchandising Specialist, and Head of Products & Merchandising.Specific responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Create Compelling Product Assets. Develop engaging assets, copywriting, and pricing details for product usage on EMS and webstores.
- Collaborate Across Teams. Work closely with Sales Managers, art departments, and retail teams to provide printable artwork files, ensuring seamless product production.
- EMS/Webstore Framework Setup: Establish the framework for EMS and web stores in collaboration with Sales Managers, ensuring optimal functionality and user experience.
- Brand Compliance: Collaborate with licensing to ensure strict adherence to brand guidelines and standards in all artwork and settings across EMS and webstores.
- Intellectual Property Oversight: Scrutinize artwork to ensure it complies with intellectual property regulations and does not violate existing rights.
- Market Trends Analysis: Stay informed about product trends in assigned marketplaces and report findings to the product manager.
- Webstore Maintenance: Update Customer Run Webstores/Merch By UGP Collections with accurate product descriptions and inventory options.
- Inventory Management: Regularly monitor Amazon's in-stock rate and inventory levels in production and transit.
- Analyze the in-store and Amazon inventory levels alongside the Head of Products and Merchandising to ensure proper stock and sell at the correct input to meet sales forecasting.
- Sales Collaboration: Seek feedback and work with the Head of Products & Merchandising to order and implement strategies for inventory with Sales Managers.
- Pricing Management: Collaborate with the Head of Product Merchandising to determine pricing changes and promptly update EMS and webstores based on fluctuations.
- Responsible for importing all EMS orders to ensure shipping dates and cutoffs are met.
- Manage the process of customer and EMS returns. Collaborate with the head of Products and Merchandising to ensure that inventory is stowed and distributed correctly and efficiently.
How will we measure success?
- 100% Compliance with EMS product listings and brand standards.
- Increase sales on ShopUGP/ EMS determined on the Products & Merchandising scorecard.
- Metrics on the Products & Merchandising vertical L10 Scorecard vs Goal as set by Exec Team / CEO.
