JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title:
Database AdministratorExempt
POSITION SUMMARY
The Database Administrator shall take ownership to research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to resolve MS SQL Database issues. The Database Administrator will be a part of the team that provides operational support, maintenance, and administration for internal and external customers of Seabrook Technology Group
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the SQL Database Administration Subject Matter Expert (SME)
o Daily monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of SQL server databases and SQL Server agent jobs.o Routinely perform root cause analysis and identify issueso Lead in the planning/installation/configuration/migration/update of SQL Server implementations
- Troubleshoot customer SQL Database issues
o Provide timely, accurate, and friendly support to the customer base, both internal and externalo Reproduce issues in-house, if necessary, for troubleshooting and testingo Discuss issues/requirements with client(s) and associated teams
- Work collaboratively with the Solutions team on database design with a focus on improving SQL efficiency and fast application performance.
- Assist with Technical Design Requirements and capacity planning per business requirement
- Lead the SQL server performance optimization tasks
- Troubleshoot SQL code and provide ways to optimize queries
- Implement, periodically test and review appropriate data access and security measures, including access control, audit, backup/restore and system rebuild & recovery processes
- Participate in the process of ensuring that identified Business Continuity measures are implemented, documented, and regularly tested, to enable continue operations of systems identified as requiring such protection in accordance with the corporate Disaster Recovery program
- Sustaining Team Member
o Act as First Line Support (FLS) and provide basic troubleshooting to customers
o Create and maintain appropriate documentation (Database, Architecture, etc.) to assist with team redundancy and knowledge transfer
- Other Duties

Travel Required:
- Consultant should be prepared to travel up to 25% of the time

OPCENTER ACCOUNTABILITY
Key Responsibilities:
- In-depth knowledge of Opcenter (Camstar) product application (i.e. Modeler, Designer, database schema, transactions, business logic functionality)
- Experienced in Opcenter’s product applications and best practices around implementation of out-of-the-box product functionality to achieve the solution
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Experience in AWS RDS and Azure SQL
- Extensive experience in the following:
- SQL Database Administration (2016/2019), upgrades, and migrations
- SSRS and SSIS
- Troubleshooting database performance and integrity issues
- Performance tuning and query optimization
- SQL Maintenance plans (Backups, Integrity checks, etc.)
- Index Management
- DBCC Commands, clustering, mirroring/replication, and AlwaysOn configuration
- Data Warehousing
- Experience in SQL Development – Ability to write and troubleshoot SQL code and design (Stored Procs, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints)
- Sound knowledge of Windows Server OS
Experience:
Required:
- 5-8 years of experience in Database Administration (2016/2019), upgrades and migrations
Desired:
- Experience with Medical Device or Regulated Industry
