Job Description


As the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading, managing and coaching hourly production staff across EnPower functional units. This position is involved in the planning and execution of manufacturing objectives to achieve company/facility goals and objectives. You will leverage your skills and experience in the areas of leadership, continuous improvement, project management, and building people to develop strategies and tactics that will ensure successful production.

RESPONSIBILITIES  


  • Support Team Members and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods
  • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs
  • Manages staff training and development, coaches, and develops high performance teams, demonstrating equipment operations, safety procedures and quality expectations.
  • Interpret specifications, part and assembly drawings, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers
  • Supports and facilitates team-based problem solving.
  • Analyzes work requirements and outlines the schedules and methods to be followed for efficiency and safety.
  • Plans, develops, coordinates, assigns, and directs production teams and processes, including work schedules, assignments and production sequences to meet production goals.
  • Confers with management and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, etc. to facilitate production processes.
  • Observe key performance indicators of work area; monitor gauges, dials, and equipment performance other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards
  • Analyzes and plans work force utilization through continuous improvement concepts. Confer with leadership and team to resolve work force concerns and to employee engagement
  • Enforces all Company rules, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Prepares and manages correspondences, reports, and documents related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, morale, and environmental.
  • Ensure compliance with plant safety and environmental regulations.
  • Manages and conducts performance evaluations and feedback.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications


  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in complex mechanical assembly, tooling, and manufacturing equipment, including a basic understanding of machine controls
  • 2-3 Years Industrial or Manufacturing leadership. Production Associate supervisory experience required.
  • Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.  or equivalent combination of education and experience and training.
  • Experience in setting up production cadence
  • Knowledge of production processes, automated equipment, manufacturing cost reduction, and other techniques for maximizing the manufacturing efficiency and distribution of goods.
  • Strong understanding of quality processes and implementation methods
  • Experience with lean processes. Green/Black belt preferred
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
