CPower is based in Baltimore, MD., and is owned by LS Power, a development, investment and operating company focused on the power and energy infrastructure sector.We are looking for an Sr. Legal & Policy Analyst to join the Law & Policy Team to provide regulatory support to retain and expand our portfolio. This role will help CPower maintain its role as a leader in the energy management industry, including Demand Response programs, Distributed Energy Resources (DER) solutions, and evolving storage and renewable monetization. This will be a remote work position, with some travel expected.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as one of CPower's regulatory liaisons to states and markets across the United States.
- Coordinate business process documentation initiatives to ensure ongoing compliance with market rules and regulations.
- Advocate for policies and regulations that promote the interests of CPower. Develop policies and strategies for consideration and approval in various markets to enable demand response (DR) and distributed energy resources (DER) in wholesale and retail markets
- Research, review, analyze, write, and speak publicly on proposals, policy questions, stakeholder materials, and proceedings across state public utility commissions, state legislative proposals, and RTO/ISOs for CPower and alongside industry associations and trade groups seeking to advance DR/DER opportunities.
- Inform management and impacted CPower teams of activities and regulatory developments. Assess business threats and opportunities on an ongoing basis with strategy recommendations based to discuss with management and other CPower teams.
- Position will be an individual contributor without direct reports but will manage regulatory engagements and projects.
Requirements
- Ideal candidates for this position would have experience in the energy or electricity industry in regulatory affairs, compliance, or legal operations.
- Bachelor's degree required, additional training and programs encouraged and recommended.
