POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Accounting Manager oversees the financial operations and reporting processes within the organization. They are responsible for managing the accounting team, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing accurate financial information to support decision-making.

FUNCTIONS

- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Supervision and Team Management: Recruit, hire, lead and mentor the accounting team Set performance goals, conduct evaluations, and provide training as needed.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data. Monitor compliance with policies and procedures and implement improvements as necessary.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate external audits and examinations, liaise with auditors, and provide necessary documentation and support. Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as required.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Present findings to management and stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including timely filing of tax returns and payments. Collaborate with external tax advisors as needed to optimize tax planning strategies.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the accuracy of financial reporting. Implement best practices and technology solutions to support continuous improvement initiatives.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required. Master’s degree or professional certification preferred.
- Proven experience in accounting or financial management roles, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience.

This job operates in a professional office and manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday.Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
