Your Role
You will be an integral part of the Legal Division, providing effective, comprehensive support to a busy team of six corporate attorneys, responsible for managing all legal aspects of our rapidly growing financial technology business. You will help to streamline routine processes, create organizational tools and resources for managing corporate contracts and communications, and provide other administrative support as needed.
Your Responsibilities
- Developing, populating, and managing a library system for all corporate contracts, including adding and updating metadata to provide for easy and effective searching of contracts.
- Maintaining effective workflow processes for tracking movement and completion of routine legal documents, namely contracts and legal review of customer-facing documents and materials.
- Performing basic research as directed.
- Supporting compliance efforts for the broker-dealer line of business, including by helping to manage a compliance software solution.
- Collaborating with legal and other business personnel in a team-oriented environment to build positive relationships.
- Providing additional administrative support as assigned.
Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
- Five or more years of work experience as a legal assistant, either at a law firm or in the legal department of a large business.
- Direct experience with contract management software and advanced experience with developing, populating, and managing a contracts library.
- Superior organizational, administrative, and computer skills.
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to analyze, summarize, and present data effectively.
- Judgment to plan and accomplish objectives in efficient manner. Process-oriented.
- Experience in broker-dealer compliance is a plus.
- College degree preferred.
