Maintenance Manager
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly diversified Maintenance Manager experienced in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment. You will be delegating tasks and actively managing all maintenance requests and directing the work of the necessary repairs. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive maintenance strategies to ensure the optimal functioning of our facilities, equipment, and assets.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain a computerized maintenance management system to track maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment history.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Assess current maintenance work processes, to optimize efficiency
- Oversee the maintenance of all company facilities, equipment, and assets, including preventative maintenance, routine inspections, and repairs.
- Use data analysis to help prepare for and prevent future problems
- Manage capital projects.
- Troubleshoot problem areas and create a clear plan of action for fixing necessary parts
- Lead a team of maintenance technicians providing guidance, support and training as needed.
- Perform evaluations of employees to ensure quality of work
- Maintain vendor relationships and order new materials as needed
- Create and adhere to maintenance budgets
- Enforce all health and safety rules and regulations according to state/federal laws and company protocol
- Stay informed about advancements in maintenance technology, tools, and techniques and recommend innovative solutions to enhance maintenance operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred along with 1-3 years of related industry experience, in lieu of degree 5+ years relevant experience in maintenance
- Extensive knowledge in a variety of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Extensive knowledge of different types of pumps (automatic, pneumatic, water transfer, etc.)
- Knowledge of wastewater management and boilers
- Ability to consistently maintain positive relationships with internal customers
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Suite) and a solid understanding of data analysis software
- Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
Physical Demands:
- Moderate physical effort which requires standing on a concrete floor for prolonged periods of time.
- Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Good hand/eye coordination and visual acuity.
Work Environment:
- This position is in an unairconditioned warehouse environment.
- Subject to loud noise.
- Working around chemicals.
Travel Requirements:
- 50% travel to Odessa, Texas, and Scott Louisiana.
