Summary:
The Director of Health Services is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the integrated behavioral health clinics and supportive care programs. The Director will oversee the operations and growth of Neighborhood Service Organizations’ 360 Neighborhood Wellness Centers, which include 4 clinics located in Detroit and Metropolitan area, as well as NSO’s Medical Respite Program. The Director of Health Services will oversee the operational, financial and quality performance of the Integrated Health Clinics and Medical Respite Program. The position is responsible for providing operational leadership, inclusive of practice/program development, integration, procedures, workflows, staffing, scheduling, provider support, quality improvement, and patient satisfaction.
The Director of Health Services reports to the Senior Director of Integrated Health and works in close collaboration with the NSO Leadership Team to achieve the most efficient and effective delivery of top quality care to the patients, the providers, as well as the entire team.
Requirements and Duties:
- Develop and achieve targeted patient volumes, revenues and expenses in areas of responsibility.
- Responsible for operational efficiency, high quality and effectiveness between services, as measured by employee efficiency as well as patient satisfaction through feedback and quality assurance measures. Proposes and implements improvements where needed.
- Oversees provider and team schedules at maximum capacity and efficiency
- Develops and Implements departmental policies and procedures
- Communicates with all departments to ensure communication and accurate schedules for providers, support staff, and front office staff
- Ensures integration with primary care and other NSO programs
- Manages and oversees operational projects
- Overseeing and facilitating the maintenance of clinic equipment, in conjunction with facilities and IT.
- Prepare reports including budgetary planning, and operational performance, as may be required.
- Ensures clinic compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery and relevant accrediting bodies
- Complete annual performance reviews of all managed staff and provide routine feedback
- Oversees patient collections and AR management in coordination with Finance
- Monitors insurance credentialing and licenses renewals for providers.
- Works with Properties to ensure facility and site maintenance.
- Oversees vendor contracts meeting all compliance guidelines.
- Ensures that patient records and procedures are in compliance with agreements with vendors and contracted service providers.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in public health, human services, health administration, business administration, nursing, or other related fields 3 years’ experience in clinic management/administration and/or healthcare administration (Preferred)

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)Ability to learn additional softwareProficiency in general office equipment (PC, printer/fax/copier, telephone system)Experience with electronic health records and scheduling systems
