Position Summary:
PTI Industries, an ISS company, is a multi-divisional job shop servicing both a domestic and worldwide customer base of manufacturing and overhaul facilities. We are seeking an ambitious Production Operator to join our team. Employees of PTI work in a custom-built facility and earn competitive wages and benefits. With no direct experience required, a strong candidate will possess the ability to learn and adapt in an ever-changing environment. We will train the right candidate.
We currently have two openings with first shift being from 7:30am-4:15pm and second shift from 4:00pm-12:00am.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works from process documents, sketches, and specifications in completing various operations.
- Work under the guidance of Supervisor to perform and complete the assigned duties in a timely manner.
- Maintains work area in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion and conforms to all quality procedures and standards.
- Performing quality assurance and testing checks.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
- Performs routine preventative maintenance of machines according to PM schedule.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be able to perform basic mathematics, i.e. add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Must be capable of following verbal and written instructions. Must be able to collect data and make simple observations and recommendations and put them in written reports as needed. Must be able to conduct oneself in a professional manner always.
- Must have experience using an internet browser and basic applications.
- Basic knowledge of common hand tools, mechanical aptitude, time management skills and the ability to troubleshoot problems.
