- Integration operations, optimization, and normal maintenance of classified laptop technology components.
- Perform daily systems administration and maintenance on the classified laptops and security infrastructure.
- Perform daily systems administration for Microsoft Server Windows operating systems, including installation, tuning, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrading, and backup functions.
- Aid with systems configuration management to include software and hardware tracking, aiding with certification and accreditation package updates, establishing system baselines, license management and revision control.
- Deploy, and integrate key security technology components.
- Deploy, integrate, and maintain future technology components for classified systems.
- Maintain accountability and control of classified laptops.
- Keep track of and apply changing security procedures implemented by executive order, the agency, or the intelligence community. Review list of changing security procedures and update for tracking of changing security procedures implemented by executive order, agency, or the intelligence community.
- Understand and recommend to clients on existing and changing policies of critical software companies such as Microsoft and Adobe. Provide updates regarding critical software such as Microsoft and Adobe for consideration of implementation into agency policy.
Education/Skills/Experience Requirements:
- Microsoft Windows administrator or equivalent
- Detailed experience with the administration of a large Windows-based enterprise (200+ hosts), including Domain Name System (DNS) and Active Directory -- at least 4 years.
- Detailed knowledge of securing Windows hosts – at least 2 years.
- Experience configuring large data stores (2+ Terabytes) such as SANS and DAS with Windows – at least 6 months experience.
- Formal training/certification from Microsoft preferred, such as Microsoft Certified Security Professional (MCSP) or equivalent preferred.
- Detailed knowledge of at least one scripting/programming language for the purposes of enterprise-level systems administration, such as PERL, PYTHON, C, or C++.
- Formal training/certification in industry recognized system administration preferred.
- The capability to understand performance standards and define monitoring report requirements is important. Ability to understand and monitor technical graphs and reports is required.
- Experience reviewing and analyzing technical deliverables such as system design documents, implementation plans, and test plans is important.
- Additionally, the candidate must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to synthesize complex technical issues for presentation to non-technical personnel.
- Perform a detailed review of project deliverables and acceptance criteria for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to contractual and functional requirements.
- Top Secret / SCI-eligible Government Clearance.
