We are currently looking for AWS Cloud Senior Cloud Systems Engineer to join our growing team. This position may work remotely. Must be a U.S.
citizen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to service requests related to maintaining the customer cloud environments.
- Assist the customer with continuous monitoring duties by ensuring that all security controls implemented by the Service Provider meet or exceed their intended purpose. Controls implemented by the Service Provider will be reviewed in a manner consistent with policies and procedures required by the Government, Service Provider’s System Security Plan (SSP).
- Design best practices solutions for new deployments.
- Implement best practice Infrastructure Design to migrate on premise services to cloud.
- Provide Technical support for all cloud services. Create Technical Support cases for all cloud services.
- Design implementation and management of all aspects of serverless cloud services, including but not limited to serverless code execution, queue, messaging, and data services.
- Design, implement and manage services for Single-Sign on and directory services and integration.
- Manage, maintain, and implement all aspects of virtualized computing instances and containers/container management as well as images.
- Design, configure and implement network infrastructure and interconnections with other cloud and on premise networks, following best practices and all applicable security standards, and coordinating with any network groups as needed.
- Provide for all maintenance and patching requirements including but not limited to automation scripting.
- Assist in automating cloud service offerings using tools such as, but not limited to ServiceNow.
- Design, implement and manage solutions for high-available, fault tolerance, load balancing, planning for multi-cloud, hybrid, and services redundant across geographical regions.
- Design, implement and manage solutions for cloud-based DNS.
- Use Infrastructure as Code techniques where possible, and design, implement and maintain automation solutions for cloud and related/interconnected systems.
- Design, manage and implement solutions for data ingest, processing, extraction, storage, and dissemination.
- Manage, maintain and implement all aspects of storage in the cloud environment, both live data and archival.
- Assist with management and implementation of all phases of enterprise tagging and labeling, including both centralized and customer specific needs.
- Write and maintain SOPs and other documentation for all cloud processes and procedures.
- Design, implement, and maintain solutions for performance tuning of cloud resources and interconnected systems.
Requirements
:
- BS/BA degree in a related area (or equivalent), and 4 to 6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- 4+ years of Systems Engineer experience building Cloud Based Solutions & 3+ AWS Cloud Systems Engineer Experience.
- Experience in managing web-based application servers and database.
- Ability to interpret architectural designs and produce solutions that will assist in the migration of applications and data into the cloud. Designing, developing, and deploying modular cloud-based systems in accordance with AWS Best practices and AWS Well-architected framework.
- Experience in working and managing virtual environment in e in server, storage, network, virtual machine.
- Create, test, implement and deploy cloud computing services, infrastructure, and network changes.
- Deep understanding and experience in infrastructure and cloud security.
- Experience with Infrastructure As Code, CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps automation using tools like Ansible, Jenkins, CloudFormation and Puppet.
- Experience supporting mission critical, enterprise class applications based on RHEL Linux, VMWare and Windows platform on-premises or in the cloud.
- Experience in automation and develop CI/CD pipelines for Automated Server Patching.
- Excellent communication and people skills. Interacting with clients, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on client needs.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good organizational skills to balance and prioritize work, and ability to multitask.
- Oracle and AWS Cloud Migration experience preferably in a government environment.
- Key skills, Network security groups, AD integration, Load Balancer configurations, AWS Direct Connect and Backup, Archival experience in addition to basic compute and storage experience i.e. EC2, EBS, S3 with automatic scripting using Ansible or Cloud Formation.
