Reports directly to HR Director Business PartneringWorking with the HR team and liaising closely with finance you will be responsible for overseeing the payrolls for EMEA. You will be managing the Payroll Specialist who will run them from start to finish with autonomy and deal with any changes and queries that come about. This is a remote position, with a preference for residency in a country where Mood Media currently has an entity established (France, Germany, UK, or the Netherlands).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure all EMEA payrolls are processed timely, accurately and in line with Country specific legislation and that the company has the right payroll controls in place
- Manage the Payroll Specialists and oversee the payrolls completed monthly across EMEA
- Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities in the payroll process
- Act as a signatory for the payroll across EMEA
- Manage relationships with external payroll partner
- Where necessary review the work of colleagues to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training
- Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate
- Ensure compliance with state, and local legal requirements by applying existing and new legislation
- Guide team members in responding to inquiries regarding payroll programs, processes, and procedures
- Work with the wider HR team to identify process improvements and create new guidance (i.e. payroll policies, procedures and quality assurance programs)
- Design payroll processes, procedures and policies
- Oversight of payroll data to ensure confidential data storage and overall integrity
- Maintaining the integrity of data in databases by correcting errors or inconsistencies in files after they have been created
- Investigating data breaches to determine whether any laws were violated
EXPERIENCE
· Min. 3 years' experience as an EMEA Payroll Manager / Senior Payroll, for multiple countries· Competent in Payroll legislation across multiple countries· Experience in project and change management· Strong leadership skills with ability to provide guidance and professional support to staff· Technologically savvy to use various software packages and systems· Understanding of the requirements of GDPR when handling data· Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping· Analytical mind able to "see" the complexities of procedures and regulations· Fluent English and Dutch (written and spoken)
