OVERVIEW:


Medlogix is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a SQL Server Database Administrator. The ideal candidate should be detail oriented and hold excellent communication skills. The candidate should have the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Assist in daily administration activities including monitoring, support, and maintenance of SQL Server databases
  • Ability to do code review, troubleshoot, and assist application developers with database design and/or modification
  • Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Experience with backups, restores, and recovery models.
  • Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.

TECHNICAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 5+ years of Microsoft SQL Server experience
  • 5+ year of writing complex SQL queries
  • Powershell / Python / Bash Scripting
  • Working knowledge of SSIS

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast moving environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with different deadlines
  • Desire to learn and improve your skills.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by manager
  • Assist the help desk staff to troubleshoot SQL and database errors
