Senior Product Marketing Manager

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Product Marketing Manager with expertise to join our dynamic marketing team. Your role will be focused on driving revenue and market adoption of our data risk management software platform.
This role will report to the Director of Content & Messaging. Flexibility and adaptability are crucial, as the successful candidate will need to adjust to the needs of the global business.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for our data risk management software platform.
  • Craft compelling messaging and positioning for the platform, targeting key verticals and personas.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, product, and customer success to drive product adoption and retention.
  • Market Intelligence—become the expert on our target buyers, their purchasing behaviors, their key buying criteria and their approach towards managing data risk.
  • Understand the competitive landscape—become an expert on our competition, their positioning, and their approaches to data risk.
  • Collaborate with product management and marketing communications to develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with our target buyer personas, emphasizing our expertise in managing data risks.
  • Understand and document our buyer’s process, including their information sources and their decision-making criteria, focusing on their approach towards data risk. Apply this knowledge to optimize our sales and marketing processes.
  • Act as the primary thought leader for the products you support externally, including speaking engagements and written works, establishing our authority in managing data risk.
  • Understand and support our sales channels; train them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users regarding data risk; develop internal tools and external collateral and guide their appropriate usage.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop a marketing plan for the products you support, featuring key activities and budgets to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new ones with a strong emphasis on our capabilities in managing data risk.
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support your products, especially in relation to data risk management, and report back to the business on required changes.
  • Produce high-quality marketing content that correctly addresses prospects’ data risk concerns and highlights the benefits of our product offerings.

 Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product marketing, preferably in the SaaS industry, with a significant focus on data risk.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of product marketing tactics, with a proven track record in crafting compelling messaging and marketing strategies, particularly in relation to data risk.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels within the organization on data risk issues.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to track and interpret marketing performance metrics.
  • Creative thinker with a customer-first attitude, a focus on quality, and a strong understanding of the importance of data risk.
  • Flexibility and openness to work with all types of people from around the world.

Desirable:

  • Experience in enterprise software or B2B technology.
  • Experience with E-Discovery technologies or industry.
  • Professional certifications in Marketing, E-Discovery, or Data Risk.

As a remote first organization, our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The salary range for this remote position is $104,000-$150,000 per year, based on skills, experience and qualifications.

The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Exterro is a total compensation company, and this role may be eligible for variable pay, equity, bonus and/or other forms of compensation as part of the package.
