Overview:
The Senior VP of Operations-Collections will oversee all aspects of the collections process, including strategy development, implementation, and performance management, and will play a critical role in optimizing collections operations to ensure maximum efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to optimize collections operations, enhance performance, and achieve departmental goals
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve collections processes to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Establish performance metrics and KPIs to monitor collections performance and drive continuous improvement. Analyze data to identify trends, develop insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Ensure collections activities comply with all relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies. Implement controls to mitigate risks and maintain a strong culture of compliance.
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to the collections team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence. Mentor and develop team members to support their professional growth and development.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including risk management, legal, finance, and customer service, to drive alignment and achieve shared objectives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in collections operations. Identify opportunities to leverage technology and innovation to enhance collections processes and improve outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in collections operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of collections best practices, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
- Proven track record of driving results and achieving operational excellence in a collections environment.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Experience implementing collections technologies and driving process improvements.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
