This Air Force capability is to employ Special Warfare Operator Lifecycle Enterprise, a lifecycle management database (SWOLE) to capture Human Performance and medical support teams to optimize performance, balance recovery, and develop readiness for Special Warfare Operators through SWOLE utilization.
The objective is to manage and maintain the software platform supporting SWOLE, as well as execute end-user requirements while utilizing SMARTABASE as the software platform supporting SWOLE for up to 8000 end-users.The key elements for this management system are identification of lifecycle program/system logistics, identification of training & operational requirements, mission & development support requirements, validation, implementation and synchronizing the current lifecycle management database to capture a comprehensive performance profile of a special warfare operator’s career.
Job Summary/Objective:
The systems administer, tests, and implements computer databases, applying knowledge of database management systems. Will require both technical level experience and ability to interface with all levels of users. This position will also require user support as needed. Location: 100% On-Site, San Antonio, TX
Travel Requirements:
This IT contract will include support for all squadrons operating locations and detachments that are assigned to the Air Force in San Antonio, TX.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred in Data Management (ABET-Accredited)
- Business Administration (Info Systems)
- Computer Science or Computer Engineering with 2+ years’ professional experience or internship.
Experience:
Shall have a proficient understanding and working knowledge of computer, e-mail, voice mail, and telephone texts to perform duties. Additionally, be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Networking, VMWare ESXI, backup VMS, experience with Cisco appliances having CCNA, CCNP certifications, configuring Cisco appliances to include Firewalls.
Duties:
- Ensure the data management system meets all Privacy Act, HIPAA and PII requirements and can be compartmentalized, subsequently ensuring controlled roles and responsibilities.
- Ensure data management capabilities are adaptable and able to flex with changing and evolving needs.
- Ensure the data management system can send actionable alerts to personnel identified by the Government.
- Troubleshoot issues with computer applications, equipment, or systems.
- Resolve computer network and software problems.
- Provide technical support for equipment issues.
- Collaborate with others to resolve technology issues.
- Create electronic data backup to prevent loss of data.
- Identify information technology project resource requirements.
- Coordinate resource procurement activities. Participate in negotiations with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure equipment, software products and services.
- Review workflow charts developed by programmer analyst to understand tasks computer will perform, such as updating records.
- Identify and evaluate industry trends in database systems to serve as a source of information for upper management.
- Develop data model describing data elements and how they are used, following procedures, and using pen, template, or computer software.
- Develop methods for integrating different products so they work properly together such as customizing commercial databases to their specific needs.
- Select and enter codes to monitor database performance and to create production database.
