Position: Assistant Service Manager for The Bluestone – Bluffton, SC
Role Overview
As the Assistant Service Manager, you are expected to lead by example for the service team of this community with 360 apartment-homes. Help set the standard by demonstrating superior technical knowledge, professionalism and organizational skills. Work closely with a strong Service Manager and Community Manager to run the day-to-day maintenance activities.
Most Important Responsibilities
- Demonstrate keen leadership qualities and take initiative to help guide the team as they make timely high-quality repairs, perform preventive maintenance, and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Work closely with the team to communicate the mechanical/technical aspects of the community and make good decisions.
- Share your knowledge with the team, while continuing to develop your own future management potential.
- Help manage the day-to-day maintenance activities for this community.
- Oversee quality of final work product, while performing tasks yourself, i.e. turns and tickets.
Most Important Qualifications
- MUST BE A GO-GETTER with a proven track record of leading a maintenance team.
- 3+ years of recent hands-on experience in apartment maintenance, preferably at a demanding community with high standards.
- EPA certification required.
- HVAC skills, plumbing, drywall, carpentry, electrical, appliance repair, etc.
- Must be willing to participate in the emergency on-call rotation.
- Vehicle, driver’s license, appropriate tools.
- Ability to assess and address problems quickly, good organization skills and strong follow-up.
