Summary/Objective :
The AvTech Dispatch and Performance Manager is responsible for overseeing the MGS dispatch operations and ensuring optimal performance of our aviation wheelchair services, in all stations. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of aviation dispatch and performance management.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Dispatch Operations Management:
o Oversee the day-to-day dispatch operations, ensuring timely and efficient coordination of flights.o Develop and implement dispatch procedures and policies to improve operational efficiency.o Monitor flight schedules and adjust dispatch plans as necessary to accommodate changes in operational requirements.
2. Performance Management:
o Analyze operational data to identify performance trends and areas for improvement.o Develop and implement performance metrics to measure and enhance operational efficiency.o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for performance optimization.
3. Team Leadership:
o Lead and mentor the dispatch team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.o Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.o Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
4. Training Management:
o Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive training programs for dispatch team members.o Ensure that all dispatch staff receive adequate training on new procedures, policies, and technologies.o Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making adjustments as needed to ensure continuous improvement.o Coordinate and conduct training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the dispatch team.o Maintain training records and ensure compliance with regulatory training requirements.
5. Compliance and Safety:
o Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies related to dispatch operations.o Promote a culture of safety and ensure all dispatch activities adhere to safety standards.o Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
6. Stakeholder Management:
o Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders and regulatory authorities.o Address and resolve any operational issues or concerns promptly and effectively.o Provide regular updates to senior management on dispatch and performance
Qualifications and Skills
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation dispatch or a similar role.· Strong understanding of aviation operations, regulations, and performance management.· Proven leadership and team management skills.· Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.· Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.· Proficiency in dispatch software and performance management tools.· Knowledge of safety requirements and expectations· Pass a background check and drug test· Computer literacy in MS Office packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
