Job Purpose:


The Account Manager sells and services new and existing accounts. The position is also responsible for performing industrial sales and service functions for targeted markets, programs and sales as assigned.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Performs the functions of Outside Sales to include initiating and following up with to sell or resolve problems, answer questions and correspondence, and complete reports.
  • Prepares, processes, reviews, and monitors various documents such as contracts and other documents. 
  • Contacts current and prospective customers to sell and explain products, perform account rounding and solicit new business within the market area.
  • Prepares and presents proposals and quotes and recommends products based on customer needs.
  • Assists customers and arranges payment terms in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Serve as a point of contact for potential and existing clients in the area in regard to their industrial sales needs
  • Performs in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions. 
  • Attends sales seminars, sales meetings or educational activities to stay up to date on the latest developments, trends and regulations in the marketplace.
  • Provides administrative assistance and support.
  • Other duties as required.

Job Requirements:


  • 5+ years Outside Sales experience in an industrial field highly preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience with project management or account management
  • Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate with client leaders of all levels (C-level down to entry-level support roles)
  • Ability to work independently and manage personal and team member time, keeping deliverables and deadlines top of mind
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving aptitude
  • Strong writing, phone and presentation skills
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
