We enable our partners and clients to deliver new opportunities to their customers through SaaS and API solutions that unlock crypto and drive loyalty, powering engagement and performance.Come build with us.Job Description & Responsibilities The Director – Product Manager, Gift Cards & Merchandise role is a critical position at Bakkt. In this role, you will drive the product experience and supplier strategy for Bakk’s industry-leading gift card and merchandise redemption storefronts, which are accessed by millions of people across North America on a daily basis.In this role, you will be an active leader in the organization and deliver high-quality, value driving ecommerce products for Bakkt and our clients. 

Responsibilities:


  • Defining the roadmap for your products, including objectives and goals, in collaboration with your key stakeholders within a modern development environment.
  • Acting as the resident expert on Bakkt Loyalty Solutions gift card and merchandize products and benefits.
  • Collaborating with the Customer Success team members to identify customer needs and opportunities; recommending solutions in coordination with Technology, Engineering, Product Delivery, Order Management and Marketing
  • Delivering product strategy and thought leadership around a variety of topics that are top-of-mind for our clients, notably ecommerce trends.

  • Benchmarking functionality and performance of your products against our competitors, our suppliers and the broader e-commerce industry
  • Working with product owners to create effective business requirements to articulate work to be done by the engineering teams; perform testing of product features with engineers to ensure acceptance criteria is met, capture bugs and work towards defect resolution
  • Working closely with software engineering to ensure delivery of products map to customer experience and business requirements within needed timelines
  • Establishing metrics and measurements for your product domain and reporting on value delivered, ROI, etc.
  • Supporting RFP/RFI responses for new business and expansion opportunities.
  • Managing our supplier relationships, including pursuing new relationships and expansion opportunities to enhance our products. You will play a critical role in ensuring relevancy and driving differentiation within the supplier community resulting in better relationships, market position, etc.
  • Facilitate resolution of supplier operational and fulfillment issues across internal and external teams that correlate to client expectations and contractual SLAs

Qualifications

  • An in-depth understanding of Product Management and product lifecycle
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle
  • Ability to balance business objectives and customer needs
  • Demonstrated success defining & launching successful products and enhancements
  • A customer-centric view into developing great product experiences 
  • Demonstrated ability to work well collaboratively, including the ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong deductive reasoning skills
  • A curious attitude and desire to learn
  • Experience managing and monitoring the financial and contractual health of vendor / supplier relationships
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and build relationship with various peer groups

  • Experience working with and managing third party vendors
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze both quantitative and qualitative data, and derive meaningful implications and recommendations from said data
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • At least 10 years of experience in product management
  • At least 5 years of experience managing people teams with direct organizational reporting responsibilities
  • At least 5 years of experience in one or more of the following industry sectors:  consumer incentives and loyalty, merchandise retail ecommerce, gift card retail ecommerce
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
