American Battery Solutions has a full-time opening for a Quality Manager in Springboro, Ohio.
Job Summary:
As Quality Manager at ABS this role will lead facility-wide new production line development and SOP readiness. The ideal Quality Manager is well versed in implementing quality control tools to prevent and manage quality defects on all manufacturing lines.Additionally, this role will support the facility in the development and management of the process compliance to the ABS quality management systems and to the ISO9001-2015 and IATF16949 standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead organization’s quality management system implementation to maintain ISO9001 and achieve IATF16949 certification.
- Developing quality control processes to ensure all operations and processes can meet the Six Sigma level of control.
- Work with design and advanced manufacturing team to supper implementation of the equipment capable of maintaining manufacturing standards above.
- Ensuring products are designed with adherence to legal and safety standards.
- Supervising staff and monitoring production standards by creating control methods and driving improvements.
- Supplier management and incoming material control.
- Evaluating final output of products to determine their quality.
- Producing regular statistical reports on the quality performance of the manufacturing processes and ensuring clear communication with the design team.
- Improving production efficiency and eliminating waste.
- Communicate with customers and suppliers as needed to resolve.
- Support the production operations by developing all necessary processes, procedures, and other supporting documentation to provide control of the processes.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Adhere to corporate, federal, and state employment policies.
- Adhere to all QMS policies and reinforce its implementation at the plant.
- Performs other duties as requested, directed, and assigned.
- Predictable and reliable attendance.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering.
- Minimum of five (5) years of previous quality experience within the manufacturing industry.
- Minimum of three (3) years of previous supervisory experience for quality team members at varying professional levels.
- Experienced in all quality core tools.
- Six Sigma green belt or equivalent statistical qualification.
- Previous NPI or facility launch experience (Preferred).

Maintain regular and clear communication of the quality performance to the organization including but not limited to Process and product compliance status, driving 8Ds completion, and Improving KPIs details and performance.

- Develops and Manages Employees: Actively develops knowledge, skills, and abilities of employees to leverage high performance. Hire adequate resources to support new production lines and multiple shifts. Drive compliance and professional development of his team by organizing required training
