Genesis Systems is a subsidiary of FloWorks USA LP, which is a privately held company located in Pasadena, TexasAs an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for revenue generation through industrial sales of valve and valve automation products. These products include standard and specialty valves, automated valves, regulators and control valves. Target markets include Power, Process (Petrochemical & Chemical), Refinery, Food & Beverage, & Pharmaceutical. Existing customer base and new target accounts consist of End Users, OEMs, EPCs, Engineering Firms & Contractors.

Territory: 

Dallas Metroplex to East Texas
Some of the exciting things you will do in this role...

  • The candidate should have strong relationship building skills to maintain existing business within the territory, as well as develop new business through customer consultation and proper application of valve and valve automation products.
  • Schedule meetings with existing and prospective clients.
  • Utilize time management skills to maximize on-site customer visits with the goal of developing new revenue opportunities for the company.
  • Create, initiate, and develop action plans to develop business with customers and prospects.
  • Develop relationships with key decision makers and influencers in all levels of a customer’s organization.
  • Work closely with customers, manufacturers, and inside sales to find business opportunities, manage quoting activity and follow orders to completion.
  • Track and report sales opportunities in an organized manner.
  • Communicate effectively with other members of the team .
  • Conduct presentations to various size groups including utilization of product demonstrations.

A must...

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in Industrial sales (Valve and Valve Automation Preferred) OR Experience in an engineering/maintenance role within an Industrial plant with understanding of valve automation.
  • Consultative, need based solution selling experience is preferred.
  • Requires clean driving record and willingness to spend time over the road visiting customers and attending manufacture training sessions, with 10-20% overnight travel.
  • Basic understanding of time and territory management and CRM tools.
  • Systems Used: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet activity, research, Salesforce CRM.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing.
  • Able to work independently and autonomously and with high emotional intelligence.
  • Basic understanding and ability to retain mechanical concepts (Strong Mechanical Aptitude)
