Position Summary:
An electric motor mechanic works to identify issues and repair electric motors used in a variety of equipment such as field cores, bobbins, armature cores, electrical motors, generators, and control axillary box. Make connection copper ring or jumper.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Basic Knowledge of production and manufacturing processing.
- Knowledge of raw materials and quality control.
- Able to dismantle electric motor to inspect the rotating equipment that the motors use to generate power.
- Repair or component replacement.
- Able to diagnostic tests and preventive maintenance.
- Record production and operational data.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in electric motor repair shop.
- Able to actively listen and quickly read to make informed and necessary decisions promptly.
- Having a good and steady and dexterous hand.
- Ability to cut, strip, grind, bend wire leads, or solder at end of coil.
- Knowledge on how to examine and test rotating motor.
- Able to identify different types of AC/DC motors.
- Ability to work under the close direction of supervisor.
- Able to use overhead crane, drive forklift.
