We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Architect with a strong background in affordable housing design and construction, who is also passionate about business development. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping our firm's affordable housing projects and expanding our portfolio by leveraging your expertise and networks in the industry.

About the Position


  • Lead and manage the design and development of affordable housing projects from concept through construction.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
  • Collaborate with the design team to create innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable housing solutions.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in the affordable housing sector.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, government agencies, developers, and industry partners.
  • Participate in proposal writing, presentations, and client meetings to win new projects.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to project teams, including architects, designers, and technical staff.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful project completion.
  • Maintain high-quality standards and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the development of project budgets and track financial performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project profitability and cost-efficiency.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in affordable housing.

About You


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
  • Licensed architect with a strong portfolio of affordable housing projects
  • 16+ years of experience in architectural design, project management, and construction in the affordable housing sector
  • Proven track record in business development and client relationship management
  • Strong knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and sustainable design practices
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and project site visits
