- The Machinist will be responsible for operating and running stations with up to two lathes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Always conform to safety procedures and regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Maintain traceability as required throughout the fabrication process
- Maintain Cleanliness and preparation of components as required
- Report any Non-conforming components to supervisor
- Ensure complete components are stored in such a way that no damage will occur while in transit to the next operation
- Responsible for lower-level machine work (i.e., drilling, tapping, grinding, etc.)
- Will work as part of a multi-functional team to promote continuous improvements to safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, and Product development
- All candidates must be punctual and reliable and adhere to strict attendance policy
- All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE
and QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. - Highschool Diploma or Equivalent GED.
- A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience doing setups, edits, and machining on CNC Lathes
- Experience with carbon, stainless steel materials
- Experience running station with multiple machines in a fast-paced work environment
- Candidates must be able to read prints to do own setup & editing as needed during runs
- Experience with Okuma Lathes with Live Tooling a major plus
- Experience with G-Codes & Okuma Controls (OSP – 200LA and 300) a major plus

- Regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to clearly hear voices or alarms, bells, and other noise.

- Plant/Shop/Field Services:
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; and risk of electrical shock.
- Regularly exposed to wet and humid conditions (outside weather conditions); high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat and vibration.
- Occasionally exposed to the risk of radiation or electrical shock.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
