Heartland has an immediate opening for a Commercial Loan Boarding/Funding Specialist, located at our Corporate Office in Whitehall, Ohio.
In this role, the qualified candidate will support the commercial lending process by boarding onto the system of record, funding and completing post-close quality control on closed loans. Input data into loan system in accordance with all applicable laws and Heartland Bank policies/procedures.In this highly visible role, a typical day might include the following:
- Data-Entry of closed loans into the Navigator loan system.
- Funding of loans and processing necessary disbursements, i.e., wire transfers, official checks, and account transfers.
- Collection/payment of any associated fees/costs with each loan.
- Completing the Post Close Quality Control review for each closed loan
- Ensure a full and complete loan package is presented for scanning.
- Strong support and excellent working relationship with Commercial Processing and Servicing teams.
- Cross-training to be able to assist Processing and Servicing teams to meet volume demands.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Navigator loan system.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- College degree in Business preferred, but not required.
- Experience working in Commercial/Consumer Loan Operations at a financial institution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of one year of retail, commercial or loan processing experience preferred.
