Outbound
Logistics Coordinator, you will participate in weekly inventory calls and work with the plant operations team and marketing teamto set up/fulfill outbound shipments per their direction. In this role, you will communicate with carriers and mill logistics teams to coordinate and monitor the status of pickups. Also, you will manage a database software scale system which includes scalingtrucks in/out, generating loading reports, and producing Bills of Lading for outgoing shipments. You willalso regularly support the operations team, sales team & accounting teams. In addition to your daily shipping tasks, you will perform general office duties and be asked to cross-train with the Inbound Logistics Coordinator to serve as a back-up to them. How you will make an impact: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.
This position is responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:
- Participate in team inventory calls and initiate pick up requests based on direction from the Marketing Team/Plant Manager.
- Communicate with Carriers to set up transportation if necessary.
- Maintainandupdate shared shipping plans and daily tons shipped.
- Trouble shoot issues adding, canceling, or re-scheduling pick ups, as needed.
- Create Customer Sales Orders and pick up numbers within our software system.
- Track ETAs, and customer order fulfillment.
- Operate a computer system/scale to include weighing trucks in/out, generation loading reports for plant personnel, Bills of Ladingand scale tickets for drivers.
- Update pricing and weights obtained by customer reports/portals to generate invoices within our internal software system.
- Provide support through reporting needs to include customer pricing logs.
- File/provide shipping documents as requested by customers, to include pictures, scale tickets, and packing list for export orders.
- Ensure freight bills are forwarded to the freight team for timely payment.
- Participate in monthly close out of shipments by the accounting deadline provided each month (typically 3rd business day of the month).
- Manage and reconcile purchase order requisitions and report to accounting.
- Perform general office duties such as answering the phone, filing documents, and assisting with ordering office supplies

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics is preferred.
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Previous warehouse/manufacturing office environment experience.
- Previous scale experience.
