Bi-lingual Early Out Self Pay Representative - Remote

Collections Manager

Full Time, Non-exempt
Salary: $18 per hour
Job purpose
The Early Out Self Pay Representative will work within the standard operational procedures to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient services. The Representative will put the patient’s needs first while collecting the patient’s self pay balances.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service to patients.
- Accurately document and update statuses on patients’ accounts in a timely fashion.
- Maintain confidential and sensitive patient information using a high level of discretion.
- Process inbound and make outbound calls.
- Identify errors in the revenue cycle including registration, clinic operations, information technology, charge entry, coding, documentation, billing, and inappropriate reimbursement/rejections from third- party payers. Document and correct as needed.
- Meets and exceed predetermined monthly collection goals.
- Ability to negotiate and persuade.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish) is required
- High School Diploma/ Some college preferred
- Healthcare customer service and collections required
- Preferred EPIC or other medical billing systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Preferred insurance terminology (EOB, OCB, ICD 10-codes, Deductible, ETC.)
- Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Problem solving skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to make sound decisions and execute standard operational procedures
Physical Requirements
Physical ability to sit, talk, hear for extended periods throughout the work day; stand, walk, push/pull, bend, stoop, kneel and reach on a regular to seldom basis. Repetitive hand motions on a frequent basis including fingering, grasping and handling. Ability to read handwritten and typed documents on paper and/or on computer screens.
