Affiliate Relations Specialist


POSITION FUNCTION AND PURPOSE


The Affiliate Relations Specialist (AR Specialist) is responsible for providing direction, visibility, program integration, and expanding market access and penetration for NEA MB programs in state and local affiliates within a defined territory. The AR Specialist connects with members face-to-face and through other direct channels (i.e., mail, email, conferences, conventions, and social media) to foster interaction, engagement, participation and revenue growth for NEA Member Benefits. This position is On-Site, based in California and a successful candidate needs to reside in that State.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


•Develop and manage assigned territory and achieve annual goals.•Develop and leverage relationships with key affiliate stakeholders.•Educate members, affiliate leaders and staff about NEA MB programs, solutions, and the value proposition.•Track results of engagement with members and affiliates and report to management on a predetermined basis.•Continuously explore new ways to connect with and engage members that will result in program participation and revenue growth for the organization.•Integrate NEA MB activities into affiliate strategies and assist in organizing, membership engagement & retention, and strategic planning.•Partner with NEA departments to deliver association programs and services at the national, state, local, and community levels to organize and build coalitions around common interests.•Strong marketing and/or organizing background desired.•Demonstrated track record of high productivity and adherence to work standards.•Knowledge of investment, insurance, and credit products desired.•Proven experience conducting effective meetings that identify and grow business opportunities.•Intermediate skill level using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

REQUIREMENTS FOR ARS POSITION 


  • Requires a BA/BS degree or 8-10 years of experience with affinity groups and the education marketplaces.
  • Strong marketing and/or organizing background desired.
  • Demonstrated track record of high productivity and adherence to work standards.
  • Knowledge of investment, insurance, and credit products desired
  •  Proven experience conducting effective meetings that identify and grow business opportunities.
  • Intermediate skill level using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

OTHER POSITION CONSIDERATIONS


Exempt positionPosition is based out of the incumbent's home 60 percent of time spent traveling.Valid driver's license is required.Position requires attendance at association meetings on weekends and in the evening.This is an On-Site position and selected candidate needs to reside in the State of California. 105000.00 To 115000.00 (USD) Annually
