Main Function:
The Project Manager II is responsible for the delivery of project management services for assigned projectsEducation and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years’ experience managing technical projects.
Core Competencies:
- Expert understanding of all Galaxy components and their operations.
- Ability to provide advanced trouble shooting assistance for all Galaxy components.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including exhibiting professionalism and diplomacy when working with customers.
- Demonstrated, in-depth technical knowledge of supported Gateway Ticketing Systems software and solutions.
- Proven experience with coordination of multiple tasks simultaneously, meeting deadlines and working productively and efficiently under pressure.
- A demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft Office programs (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Project).
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the calendar year, which may include weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work/communicate to all levels of management and knowledge-based personnel and keep a professional demeanor at all times.
- Ability to work both in a team environment and on an individual basis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working additional hours beyond regularly scheduled hours as requested by management.
- Understanding of the necessity to meet stringent deadlines.
- Project management experience, PMP Certification a plus.
- Experience with business process modeling and requirements gathering processes.
Job Description:
Essential Duties:
Completing site surveys to analyze client requirements, such as networking, power, cabinetry, Managing a project from the point of client commitment to purchase the system until the system goes live or all project related items are delivered in full; this includes: Reviewing and completing final changes for sales orders. Completing/Adding new features or services to a sales order. Scheduling and confirming all third-party related training/support visits. Key focus areas include controlling the scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk management within a project Managing resources of the project team and delivery. Ensuring successful project deliveries on-time and within budget. Lead cross functional project teams, insuring quality control throughout the project lifecycles; which includes training and ordering of equipment. Ensuring customer’s satisfaction while upholding Gateway’s common business practices and operational/business needs. Communicating and logging all client communications/visits via documentation such that the client can be supported by in-house staff as well as maintaining frequent contact with the office during travels. Assisting finance in invoice collections as they relate to areas of the project. Back up and aide Implementation Specialist in training clients in the Galaxy Product Suite.Work with Marketing to generate Press Releases regarding the project delivery. Managing multiple medium to large projects throughout the course of the year – 5-10 on average. General Duties:
