Summary:


Come join our pivotal HR team that utilizes a range of knowledge, skills and abilities to help ensure an engaged, productive and focused workforce for Beal Bank and its affiliates. Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the HR Coordinator will help facilitate human resource processes across the enterprise. As your next step in your HR career, this role administers the new hire process, health & welfare plans and a host of other every day HR functions. This position further helps address benefits-related problems and ensures consistent use of plans and employee relations practices.

The HR Coordinator provides professional support, including meticulous record-keeping, file processing, reporting, maintenance and HRIS procedures for the organization.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):


  • Supports HR initiatives and projects, such as employee engagement, training programs and policy development
  • Assists with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes and inquiries
  • Responds to employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR-related policies and procedures
  • Maintains the Anniversary Award program, creating award documentation, facilitating employee emails and award distribution, including expense reimbursements
  • Prepares new hire and benefit packets and other orientation materials
  • Manages onboarding for new hires, transfers, rehires and terminations in the HRIS system of record, in conjunction with Payroll
  • Creates reports and facilitates important information for other departments to assist with streamlined operations, such as new hire communications as well as ad hoc reporting needs
  • Coordinates and assists with company events and negotiates with vendors as needed
  • Manages renewal and maintenance of Labor Law Posters for all locations
  • Prepares billing reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Provides department, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings and preparing HR-related documents
  • Creates and maintains HR records in accordance with company policies and employment law
  • Maintains employee records and HR databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality and maintains the HR file room
  • Maintains all I-9 and EEO forms (for active and terminated employees)
  • Creates and maintain all Employee and Termination files
  • Performs routine filing, scanning and archiving of records to ensure record retention compliance
  • Assists with recruitment efforts as directed
  • Stays informed about HR best practices, employment laws and industry trends
  • Processes HR invoice payments and records for the department, including check requests and distribution
  • Handles incoming calls to the general Beal Service Corporate number during normal business hours
  • Sorts and distributes department mail, ensure sufficient supplies for the HR department and other related tasks as needed
  • May include other duties as directed by the manager

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Computer Skills, Certifications, Etc.):


  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field required
  • At least two to five years related HR or benefits experience
  • Working knowledge of onboarding, leave administration and benefits
  • Strong understanding of human resources principles, practices and regulations 
  • Knowledge of labor laws and compliance requirements
  • Experience with ADP Workforce N0w is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to deadlines
  • Strong time management, organizational, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong teamwork and collaborative skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
  • Positive "Can-do" attitude with a professional appearance and demeanor
