- This position exists to support overall manufacturing plant operations and facility maintenance activities, mechanically and electrically support equipment repairs is essential. The individual carries out routine assignments as per the maintenance department assignments and supports Shift Team Lead in daily shift maintenance support requirements as needed
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Maintains a neat, clean, and safe work environment within the Manufacturing facility.
- Performs preventive maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required.
- Must have the ability to recognize potential problems and quickly report such concerns to the Manager.
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions during routine inspections of facilities equipment to the Maintenance Coordinator.
- Participate in emergency action plan procedures.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and maintain testing and facility equipment.
- Install and monitor hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
- Electrical and mechanical equipment trouble shooting.
- Support testing and monitoring of production equipment.
- Operate industrial equipment (forklifts, overhead cranes, manlifts)
- Maintain and install equipment.
- Read blueprints to determine manufacturing specifications.
- Capable of modifying and improving equipment and fabricating ancillary parts and structural pieces, as needed.
- Perform routine tests and preventative maintenance programs and manufacturing equipment.
- Write up complete parts list of items needed.
- Perform routine tests and preventative maintenance programs and manufacturing equipment.
- Analyze machine failures due to mechanical, electrical, or electronic problems and perform or suggest necessary corrective actions.
- Make visual inspections and use standard mechanical and electrical test equipment.
- Install and align motors, gearboxes, drive trains, and other mechanical power transmissions systems.
- Align, adjust, and calibrate equipment according to specifications.
- Repair and monitor hydraulic, mechanical, and mechanical power transmitting systems.
- Support production activities of all production lines to ensure the proper function of manufacturing equipment.
- Job planning/scheduling and kitting.
- Assist in training at all levels.
- Material, part specification, and purchasing.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE
and QUALIFICATIONS

- Must be 18 years of age, or older to apply.
- Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
- 6 years working in maintenance required; 6+ years of experience in maintenance preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial/manufacturing maintenance required.
- Must have the ability to work effectively with company personnel and customers.
- Associate’s degree in applicable field preferred.
- Mechanical trade license required.
- Experience within manufacturing maintenance environment preferred.
- This position required strong written and verbal communication skills such as the ability to read and comprehend various instructions.
- Required to be familiar with and use all hand tools and power tools common to the essential duties listed above.
- Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team or independently.
- Ability to prioritize assignments with the flexibility to handle last minute changes.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using, whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Experience working around 480-volt systems at a minimum is required.
- Must be skilled in a variety of maintenance trades such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing. Fabrication, etc.
- Ability to correctly read and interpret blueprints.

- Plant/Shop/Field Services:

- Regularly exposed to wet and humid conditions (outside weather conditions); high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat and vibration.
- Occasionally exposed to the risk of radiation or electrical shock.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
