About the Position:

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to support two Businesses.  This person will be responsible for all accounting functions such as managing the month end close, balance sheet reconciliations, financial analysis & reporting, and business support.   The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent analytical abilities and effectively able to communicate and interact with Business Leaders.   

Experience/Education: 

Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or combination of education and experience. Five (5) to seven (7) years of general ledger and financial reporting experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

Strong aptitude with Microsoft Office applications and ERP software. Solid understanding of US GAAP, SOX and IFRS. Ability to multitask and drive projects through to completion with proven organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrate a high level of arithmetic accuracy and attention to detail. Good writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:


  • Manage month end closing exercises within close timeline.  Exercises include but are not limited to journal entry review, balance sheet account reconciliation review & current period variance analysis. 
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, adhering to US GAAP.
  • Analyze monthly results vs budget and prior year and communicates to the organization, variances to budget and opportunities to improve the business.
  • Provides financial support to Business Leaders.
  • Partner with operations to ensure labor and overhead rates are accurately calculated and report on variances providing recommendations.
  • Lead annual physical inventory.
  • Liaison with auditors and tax preparers to ensure financial results are represented correctly. 
  • Monitors compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Demonstrate a high level of arithmetic accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Makes recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures.
  • Conducts internal studies with recommendations for improving the organization’s accounting operation. 
  • Train and develop staff members as needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven organizational skills with an ability to multitask and drive projects through to completion.
