Heartland has an immediate opening for a Commercial/SBA Loan Processor, located at our Corporate Office in Whitehall, Ohio.
In this role, the qualified candidate will assist the Commercial Relationship Manager (CRM), Portfolio Manager, and Commercial Coordinator in handling commercial loans from application through closing including the funding of closed loans. Input data into the loan system in accordance with all applicable laws and Heartland Bank policies/procedures.In this highly visible role, a typical day might include the following:
- Full responsibility for Commercial/SBA loans in process from approval through close and funding.
- Perform full due diligence on all loan requests based on loan structure.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of SBA SOP’s, real estate appraisals, and title work.
- Document Commercial and SBA loans via LaserPro and/or with legal counsel per the Loan Summary approvals to satisfy Bank and SBA requirements.
- Review the SBA application package for accuracy and resolve any issues.
- Submit application packages to the SBA via LaserPro interface for approval.
- Data entry of closed/funded loans into the Navigator loan system.
- Ensure a full and complete loan package is presented for scanning.
- Strong support and excellent working relationship with the Commercial Lending team.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Navigator loan system and of the Microsoft Office suite of products.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of one year of consumer, mortgage, SBA, and/or commercial loan processing experience preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
