About The Role:

The HR and Benefits Specialist is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day administration of HR and Benefits programs function at a high level between our employees, benefit carriers, and HR business partners. Reporting to the Sr. HR Manager, the ideal candidate works daily to ensure onboarding, benefits processes, and key reporting functions work seamlessly to support HR operations and employee needs. Additionally, you are exposed to key HR initiatives that will grow and develop your skills.

- Bachelor’s degree and one (1) to three (3) years of equivalent benefits administration experience.
- Experience working in both fully ensured self-funded health plan is required.
- Working knowledge of related state and federal regulations, filing, and compliance requirements, including COBRA, HIPAA, EEOC, FMLA, ADA, ACA, Section 125, and 401(k).
- Proven ability to work in a team environment.
- Previous benefits administration experience on the ADP Workforce Now platform preferred.
- Capable of effective planning and priority setting.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures employee data is collected and entered in a timely basis between ATS, onboarding and HRIS systems.
- Serves employee needs and enables self-service capabilities for all benefit and welfare programs.
- Creates reports and meets compliance deadlines for key HR and benefit programs.
- Liaison and problem solver between employees, benefit brokers and benefit carriers.
- Completes required regulatory filings.
- Documents and maintains key HRIS business processes.
- Audits and reconciles HR and benefits data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Key projects and responsibilities as assigned. These will be focused on achieving HR’s strategic objectives (OKRs) and priorities.
- Other duties as assigned.
