Check out our GOASG website.Process Mechanical Engineer Role Description:Developing, designing, implementing, and verifying automation solutions for the assembly and packaging of commercial devices.Key responsibilities:
- Delivery: Design, engineering, implementation, verification of industry compliant automated assembly and packaging solutions to production ready for integration and validation; design, engineering, and verification documentation packages.
- Project Leadership: Establish project technical scope, priorities, execution sequences; align technical scope with team member skill sets; inform and consult with project, supplier, and acquirer leadership on technical status, challenges, and options to ensure that projects meet objectives for scope, time, and budget.
- Design: Analyze stakeholder needs; identify, negotiate, prioritize, and quantify Solution Architecture and Functional elements with a verifiable parametric. Conduct and document design reviews in collaboration with team, supplier(s), and acquirer(s).
- Engineering: Identify, negotiate, prioritize, and quantify mechanical and electrical packages and components. Analyze and implement CAD generated drawings and schematics. Conduct and document engineering reviews in collaboration with team, supplier(s), and acquirer(s).
- Implementation: Engage and monitor the procurement, fabrication, assembly and solution integration activities and processes. Provide oversight as appropriate to project agreement. Lead and collaborate on integration of solution into production environment.
- Verification: Stack tolerance verification; identify and document process verification items, cases, and scripts. Define, document and conduct Design of Experiment (DOE). Participate in the execution and review of verification activities.
- Risk Management: Conduct, document, review and update Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and Control Plans.
- Technical Expertise and Collaboration: Engage, inform, advise, and consult with acquirer, supplier, and solution delivery teams.
- Advocate: Engage suppliers as an active stakeholder on behalf of acquirer (client). Engage and inform acquirer(s) on technical challenges and options.
- Product Design Collaboration: Advise and consult on product design impact for manufacturing, assembly, and packaging.
Minimum Requirements:
- Expertise: Automated assembly; mechanical process sequential operations design; power (electrical and pneumatic) distribution; mechanical component fabrication, machining, tolerance verification.
- Working knowledge: Sequential and concurrent material flows; safety by design; quality by design; pneumatics; intelligent actuators and sensors.
- Teamwork: Demonstrated proficiency in collaboration, challenge resolution, communication effectiveness, urgency negotiation, organization priorities, accountability, work product integrity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Experience:
- Pharmaceutical or Medical Device production
- Rockwell or Siemens Automation Platforms
- Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition
