Summary:
We have an immediate need for a client-facing Senior BI Consultant that will design, develop, and validate end-to-end BI Products for our customers. We are seeking someone who takes pride in bringing value to external partners. In addition, you will be working with our cutting-edge technologies, including Google’s Looker for visualizations that will report our AWS data using Snowflake! As a Business Intelligence Consultant, you will be part of the Service Delivery team that is responsible for activating and supporting clients on the hc1 platform. You will work with hc1’s healthcare clients to solicit business and technical requirements and to design, develop, validate, and support custom business intelligence solutions that support our clients’ business and clinical operations. hc1’s BI Consultants serve as trusted advisors to business, clinical and technical client stakeholders, helping them develop strategies for harnessing the power of analytics to support data-driven decision making within their organizations.
What you’ll do:
- Design, develop, validate and support custom reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights that enable end users to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their business and clinical operations.
- Develop efficient, cost-effective data models to support custom analytics.
- Train hc1’s client end-users to develop reports using hc1’s reporting platform and consult with users on report design, development, and administration.
- Drive data democratization throughout the hc1 organization. Advise hc1 colleagues on best practices for data-driven decision making. Develop internal analytics to improve hc1 operations.
- Design Customer Solutions. Work with existing and potential customers to deeply understand their business and technical needs. Develop solutions that make the best use of hc1 products. Collaborate with hc1 field sales, training, and support teams to ensure customer success..
- Engineer ETL processes to move and transform data from disparate sources to facilitate development of BI reports
- Develop stored procedures to process and maintain data for BI reporting
- Complete other duties as assigned
What you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in an analytical, quantitative or technology-related field such as computer science, mathematics, physics, philosophy, public health or IT
- 4+ years of experience reporting upon data stored in relational databases using standard reporting methodologies (e.g., SQL queries, data modeling, and drag-and-drop data visualization tools)
- An understanding of basic statistical concepts
- Experience working with healthcare data (LIS, EMR, Pharmacy, Billing) is a plus
- An interest in healthcare informatics
- Ability to communicate complex technical and business concepts to client users and IT staff
- Must be comfortable working in a client-facing role serving end users
