Job Title: Marketing and Special Events CoordinatorCompany: Lonestar Electric SupplyLocation: Houston, TXEEO Category: Professionals VETERANS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY Lonestar Electric Supply and its subsidiaries are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Marketing and Special Events Coordinator with a focus on marketing strategy and support and corporate event management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of corporate marketing initiatives and events, to include conferences, trade shows, seminars, and company meetings.

This role requires excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills to ensure the successful execution of high-profile initiatives and events that align with our corporate objectives and enhance our brand presence.Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies and collaborate with the design team to produce high-quality promotional materials that align with corporate branding.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, including executives and department heads, to understand marketing objectives and manage event requests.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external partners, sponsors, and vendors to enhance marketing success and brand visibility.
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of corporate events, including conferences, trade shows, seminars, and company meetings.
  • Manage event logistics, such as venue selection, contract negotiations, catering, audio/visual needs, transportation, and accommodations.
  • Develop and maintain detailed event timelines and ensure all tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact during events, overseeing setup, execution, and teardown.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and partners to ensure seamless event operations.
  • Handle any issues that arise during events, ensuring a smooth experience for all attendees.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses are tracked and within budgetary constraints.
  • Prepare post-event financial reports to assess the success and ROI of events.
  • Track and analyze the performance of corporate events, gathering attendee feedback and measuring overall effectiveness.
  • Provide regular reports on event outcomes, including attendance, participant satisfaction, and key learnings.
  • Maintain comprehensive event documentation, including contracts, permits, and vendor agreements.
  • Provide administrative and strategic marketing support to the Director of Marketing.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in corporate event management and marketing support.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with social media management and content creation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events.
  • Experience in graphic design and familiarity with design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Knowledge of event planning tools and software.
  • Proven track record of successful corporate event planning and execution.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required infrequently. 
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
