ReconCraft is seeking is seeking a Electrical/Outfitter V who leads a team of at least 3-7 assembly personnel on at least one major hull program, with multiple hulls being built simultaneously. This member is responsible for all facets of Assembly and Integration including installation of mechanical systems, steering hydraulics, engines, fuel lines, electrical systems, wiring, and all types of accessories. Full assembly of boat trailers and performing rigging as required. The assembler must adhere to established quality control standards and procedures, site cleanliness, redlines, use of drawings, and efficient management of personnel to complete tasks according to reasonable and planned resource hours. Electrical/Outfitter V will be expected to be fully knowledgeable on their respective vessel specifications, build standards, ABYC requirements, and deliverable timelines. When necessary, Electrical/Outfitter V will be able to water test products with customers to verify work performed and explanation of the product.
Essential Job Functions:
- Electrical/Outfitter V must demonstrate the ability to safely perform multiple duties and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. They will also be required to complete assigned work in a reasonable amount of time while adhering to established quality control standards.
- They will have a thorough knowledge of and make recommendations for different tools, machinery, and equipment that will simplify and expedite the outfitting process.
- Must demonstrate ability to effectively use all tools including drills, rotacut system, hole punches, rivet gun, rivnut tool, keensert guns, and caulking gun. Electrical/Outfitter V must be able to effectively read all measurement tools and be able to find center on parts with said tools.
- They will work with the Director of Operations, Engineering and the Assembly Supervisor to improve the production processes by training and guiding all members of their team and other Fabrication teams, as needed.
- They will be responsible for training new employees with various skill sets from an apprentice to a seasoned veteran assembler.
- They will have a thorough understanding of and make recommendations for different tools, machinery and equipment that will simplify and expedite the outfitting process.
Work Experience:
Electrical/Outfitter V has 10 or more years of experience on aluminum vessel programs or military and government clients. Needs 2 or more years in a leadership role.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
- High School Diploma (GED)
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to pass background check.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, understanding drawing symbols read flag notes and general notes.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Read travelers and standard procedures.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel
- Attention to detail and accuracy while working within a fast-paced production environment.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability lift 50lbs. Standing for long period of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching are generally required.
- Ability to work long hours, when required, to meet deadlines and other deliverables.
