Position Summary:
Oasys seeks a highly skilled Health Data Analyst to provide comprehensive data analysis support to our customers. The successful candidate will perform various analytical tasks designed to collect, analyze, and interpret data, ensuring accuracy and reliability.As a subject matter expert, the Health Data Analyst will leverage their analytic skills to identify and resolve data discrepancies, anomalies, and exceptions. Responsibilities include completing data verification and validation activities, resolving duplicate records, and generating Contract Workload Metrics Reports that contain vital statistics related to program workload.The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail, ensuring high-quality data and valuable insights to support informed decision-making and program success.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies, anomalies, and duplicate data in the VHA Master Veteran Index.
- Use investigative methods and automated tools to resolve duplicates and exceptions.
- Perform relevant edits on patient identity fields.
- Follow established Healthcare Identity Management procedures for resolution and documentation.
- Work with medical centers, system developers, and business owners to improve the validity of Identity Management (IdM) information.
- Contribute to designing system enhancements and implementing process improvements to support identity management.
- Trained personnel performs approximately 320 resolutions per month.
Minimum Requirements:
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) degree.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience with maintenance/validation of patient identity data within a large-scale (10M+ entry) database.
- Strict adherence to VA rules governing access to Protected Health Information (PHI) and Electronic Protected Health Information (EPHI).
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with standard office computer applications (spreadsheet, word processor, etc.) and ability to complete in-house training programs on custom software systems.
Clearance Requirement:
- Ability to complete VA background investigation for Tier 2/Moderate Risk access (VA Handbook 0710, Personal Security and Suitability Program).
