Copper River Technologies is seeking a
Field Surveyor III to support the United States Department of Defense (DOD); provide service for on-site validation and data attribution support services for the Pentagon Reservation, Mark Center, and WHS leased buildings to establish and maintain accurate facility configuration records in Enterprise Applications.Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)

:


  • Lead Data Management Team priorities and job requests.
  • Maintain and administer CAD systems, databases, and infrastructure. Optimize layers for efficiency.
  • Coordinate access to spaces to be validated with tenants and stakeholders.
  • Conduct facilities site validations of projects ranging from pre-construction to post-construction as prioritized by the government.
  • Walk through designated spaces to verify architectural/space layout against existing records and/or collect new information required to document existing conditions. These may include, but are not limited to capturing photos, measurements, and producing drawing mark ups including overall square footage and denoting current tenant information to the lowest available branch name or service providers.
  • Denote hotel stations, cubicles, closed offices of varying sizes, open offices, team rooms/areas, conference rooms, pantry, or break room areas according to current DoD Instructions (DoDI) pertaining to space management policy and procedures. 
  • Document the location of equipment, fixtures, furnishings and signage in all common use, joint use, tenants, and building systems spaces.
  • Identify the location of all wayfinding and life safety elements such as but not limited to kiosks, corridor displays, main and auxiliary entry doors, room numbers, emergency exits, fire extinguishers, and defibrillators.
  • Utilize existing WHS Enterprise Applications such as but not limited to Bentley, Autodesk, Bluebeam, and ESRI for facilitating all site validation efforts.
  • Support Quality Assurances measures on the data captured and integrated by team and external sources.
  • Prepares layouts, drawings, and designs from detailed sketches and/or drawings made by technicians, designers, or technical professionals, converting paper documents into digital files.

Requirements:


  • Clearance: 
  • Secret

  • Education and Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography or related physical or geospatial science such as Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, Cartography, Information Technology, Computer Science, Urban Studies/ Planning, Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, Drafting or Construction related field or a minimum of 10 years’ experience in CAD Management.

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 7 (seven) years of professional Experience performing CAD Drafting.
  • Proficient with Multiple CAD Suites; Bentley, AutoDesk and ESRI.
  • Expert in using AutoCAD software.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prioritize competing tasks Attentive and approachable. Able to navigate a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
  • Experience creating, updating, and maintaining master drawings.
  • Experience using measuring devices and visual data capture devices to document changes on paper and in digital format.
