About the role:
As an Associate DevSecOps Engineer, you start my day by assisting in the development and implementation of end-to-end cluster and application lifecycles, aiming for secure and effective processes. You then assist in coordinating with clients, helping in designing and setting up Kubernetes or Docker solutions based on their requirements. You participate in the construction of CI/CD pipelines, facilitating the timely and consistent delivery of software.
What we are looking for:
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or Docker, assisting in setting up clusters
- Experience building Gitlab CI/CD pipeline templates and jobs
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., shell scripting, Python, or other scripting languages)
- Implement and improve development and security best practices by building necessary CICD pipeline jobs (Linting, SCA, SAST, Vulnerability scanning)
- Proven experience in software systems development via CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab Pipelines)
- Exposure in Agile, DevOps and DevSecOps methodologies, practices, and culture
- Problem solving aptitude
- Experience with designing and implementing enterprise-grade, scalable cloud-based services to support our development teams
- Experience with Log Management and Analytics tools such as PLG/Splunk/ELK
- Experience with building, deployment, release automation, or orchestration
- Experience writing Unit/Integration/e2e testing (e.g., Junit, Cypress, Selenium)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
- Obtain Security+ within the first 90 days of employment with Raft
Highly preferred:
- Experience with implementing Sigstore and Cosign to sign container images as well as SBOMs
- Experience with hardening application containers
- Proven experience with Istio service mesh
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#
- Passionate about automation, system efficiency, and security
- Certifications such as CKA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
Clearance Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Work Type:
- Remote (Local to San Antonio, TX highly preferred)
- May require up to 10% travel
