The team at Azurity is making a difference in patient’s lives, and you can join that team!The Azurity Accounting Team is searching for a Staff Accountant to join the team as we build out best-in-class finance processes and ensure quality information is available for decision making. This person needs to be a leader and go-getter who can take full ownership of their areas. The Staff Accountant needs to build relationships with Commercial, Legal and HR to ensure information is flowing from the business to Accounting and then to FP&A. When issues arise, this person should be ambitious, ready to dig in to determine root cause and the path forward. Our team needs a competent, dependable and flexible partner that is willing to learn from others and also coach teammates.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The Staff Accountant's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Reading and comprehending contracts, then utilizing accounting knowledge to record the related transactions
- Fully owning the general ledger accounts within his/her responsibility and ensuring compliance with US GAAP; calculating and explaining variance analysis
- Assisting with ad-hoc accounting projects, driving change and implementing enhanced processes
- Assisting with and potentially running, the annual financial statement audit
- Performing ad-hoc accounting research, making recommendations for proper accounting treatment and documenting transactions

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements
- Working knowledge of US GAAP
- Process improvement mindset
- Good organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks effectively
- Very detail oriented with strong teaming and interpersonal skills
- Travel may be necessary 5-10% of the year
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Active CA license or on CA licensure track
- 3-5 years accounting/ auditing experience
- Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus
- Strong PC skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and financial accounting systems
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics365 preferred
- Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
