Summary
As a Service Technician at Revel, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing our fleet of multi-branded EVs. This position requires a passion for sustainable transportation and the ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment creatively. You will confidently address basic and major mechanical issues, perform electrical and mechanical diagnostics, and maintain a high level of knowledge about High Voltage (HV), Low Voltage (LV), and general electric vehicle systems.
Your responsibilities will include following correct repair order documentation procedures and using the appropriate software suite to document all vehicle interactions thoroughly. Effective communication and collaboration with other service team members, and various stakeholders within the Rideshare organization are essential.
Position Responsibilities
Maintenance, Diagnostics and Repair:
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Revel's internal fleet vehicles.
- Address and resolve both basic and complex mechanical issues.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
- Maintain high knowledge of High Voltage (HV), Low Voltage (LV), and general electric vehicle systems.
- Ensure all vehicles are compliant with safety and operational standards.
- Travel to various locations to perform on-site repairs and maintenance when required.
- Field Repairs Ex. flat tires
- Operate a variety of top-of-the-line hand, power and shop tools
Documentation and Reporting:
- Accurately document all maintenance and repair activities using the appropriate software suite.
- Follow correct repair order documentation procedures.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Effectively communicate with other members of the service team, including service advisors and managers.
- Collaborate with Ground & Driver Operations, escalating patterns in avoidable damage to vehicles.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Revel Rideshare's overall mission and goals.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new technicians
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Automotive school
- 2-5 years of experience as an automotive service technician, including previous experience with EV/HEV diagnosis and repair
- Knowledge of High Voltage systems, Low Voltage systems, and Electric Vehicle powertrains
- Ability to use applications such as Slack, Google Suite, and Fleetio, as well as learn proprietary software
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Physical exertion may be required to perform occupational tasks (sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, carrying, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs)
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using a work order management system including repair documentation with the ability to document repairs with clear and concise language
