Corporate Traffic Logistics is strategically expanding our transportation services to meet the demands of the rapidly growing produce market. In this role, as a
Manager, Perishables Logistics Sales & Operations you will focus on efficiently managing and optimizing the transportation of fresh produce, with the objective of seamlessly connecting shippers (including farmers, distributors, wholesalers, and retailers) directly with carriers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and cultivate prospective clients, nurturing customer relationships.
- Manage a spectrum of customer interactions, from initial engagement to contract finalization.
- Skillfully negotiate rates to secure opportunities and expand our market presence.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver premium freight brokerage solutions.
- Stay abreast of industry dynamics and pricing trends to enhance sales achievements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or freight brokerage. Must have at least 3+ years, specifically in Produce.
- Experience managing refrigerated/short-shelf-life products is key.
- Familiarity with produce production and farming.
- Demonstrated experience with LTL, FTL, and 3PL carriers.
- A demonstrable track record in sales, driven by a commitment to excellence.
- Self-initiative, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.
- The ability to thrive independently and within a collaborative setting.
- Experience in Reefers/Refrigerated freight business is highly valued.
