Reporting to the Director of Marketing Communications, you will work closely with members across the organization to ensure consistency of editorial style, quality, brand standards and tone of voice. You will work on content development, editorial oversight and strategic planning of editorial calendars to support planned Marketing activities and campaigns. You will also plan and develop content for the Cymulate blog, working with SMEs and authors; writing and editing posts; managing a high-volume editorial calendar; and working through metrics/statistics on audience engagement, subscriber base and resonance.

In addition, you will write and edit SEO content, and help build an organic social media program focused on audience engagement.

What you will do:


  • Write and edit content for digital marketing, demand generation and the website
  • Partner with SEO team to create keyword-optimized content for the blog and website
  • Write, plan and edit content for the Cymulate blog while working in conjunction with other internal teams
  • Help drive the strategy to grow audiences and user engagement across social media channels
  • Build and own an organic social media content calendar across channels
  • Create engaging, clickable and shareable content that aligns with key marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Monitor cross-channel activity and report on key metrics
  • Work alongside Marketing Operation team to examine analytics/audience trends to optimize content across all channels

What you have:


  • 5+ years of experience working in a professional writing and editing environment within the cybersecurity industry
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
  • Willingness to commute into our Midtown office 3 days per week
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies across grammar, brand, style and tone
  • Ability to turn technical concepts and ideas into clear, conversational and awareness-focused content
  • Proven experience writing for multiple platforms such as web, social media, blog and demand generation
  • Knowledge and application of fundamental editorial form and style, such as Associated Press Style Guidelines
  • Experience and comfort interviewing subject matter experts, managing the editorial/deadline process and providing (and receiving) constructive feedback.
  • Experience working with a marketing and/or corporate communications team is preferred
  • Ability to multitask and be flexible in a high-performing, cross cultural environment
  • Self-directed and motivated; able to work effectively within a global team and independently

The base salary for this role is between $100,000-120,000
